About the Movie

Jules Verne's Mysterious Island is an adventurous science-fiction sequel to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The film takes place during the Civil War when Captain Cyrus Harding (Michael Craig) leads a daring escape from a Confederate prison camp in a weather balloon. The group becomes marooned on an island inhabited by giant plants and animals. The mysterious Captain Nemo (Herbert Lom) comes to the aid of the stranded survivors as they try to devise a way to get home.
